Mike Weiss, PE

With over 22 years of structural engineering experience, Mike has built a reputation as a leader in the design of both new buildings and the renovation of existing structures throughout the DC Metropolitan area. Before joining Structura, Mike worked at Vitro Corporation, where he specialized in the structural evaluation and design of elevated steel towers and support structures for Naval Training Schools. He also conducted in-depth analyses of existing structures affected by weathering and other forms of deterioration, honing his expertise in structural assessments and remediation.

At Structura, Mike plays a vital leadership role, overseeing the firm’s most significant and technically complex projects. He ensures seamless team coordination, rigorous quality control, and adherence to project timelines. Additionally, Mike leads the development and implementation of Structura’s internal design policies, standards, and protocols, fostering consistency and technical excellence across all operations. His strategic leadership and deep technical knowledge continue to drive Structura’s mission to deliver innovative, reliable, and high-quality structural engineering solutions.
