As part of St. John's College's 2010 Campus Master Plan, Hodson House serves as a multi-purpose classroom building, while also providing faculty and administrative office space. The modern design features a modified gable roof, composite floor slabs, and a full basement, all while harmoniously blending with the campus aesthetic through a façade that combines brick and glass. This thoughtful integration of contemporary design with the college's traditional campus character contributed to the project's recognition with a 2015 AIA Maryland Excellence in Design Award in the category of Institutional Architecture.
