Project Description
As the Structural Engineer of Record, Structura played a critical role in the development of Hodson House, a cornerstone of St. John's College's 2010 Campus Master Plan. Designed as a multi-purpose classroom building with faculty and administrative office space, Hodson House combines modern design with the historic aesthetic of the campus. The building features a modified gable roof, composite floor slabs, and a full basement, with a brick-and-glass façade that complements surrounding structures.
In addition to Hodson House, Structura contributed to the renovation of two other prominent campus buildings: Randall Hall and Barr-Buchanan Hall. For Randall Hall, Structura provided structural modifications to support upgraded facilities while preserving the building’s historical integrity. At Barr-Buchanan Hall, Structura managed structural enhancements, including reinforcement of existing systems to meet current safety and performance standards. These projects demonstrate Structura's ability to merge innovative engineering with respect for architectural history, ensuring the ongoing vitality of St. John’s College’s historic campus.
