Structura was engaged by a rehabilitation contractor to provide specialized engineering solutions for the repair and reinforcement of deteriorated precast prestressed concrete quad-tees at the Iverson Mall parking garage. Taking a hands-on role as the specialty design engineer, Structura developed innovative, cost-effective repair strategies, including comprehensive shoring drawings, detailed repair specifications, and formal calculation packages submitted to the engineer of record.

In addition to the design work, Structura oversaw and conducted extensive load testing to confirm the effectiveness of the repairs. The team designed and managed the load testing procedures, supervised the testing process, and monitored the performance of the repaired quad-tees under load conditions. Through value-engineered solutions and careful coordination, Structura expedited the project’s timeline, providing the client with an efficient and durable repair solution that restored the structural integrity of the parking garage.
