Structura collaborated with Rust | Orling on the design and construction of Sunrise Senior Living in Fairfax, VA, a state-of-the-art facility providing high-quality care for assisted living and memory care residents. The project encompasses two buildings with a combined footprint of 82K SF, featuring 81 suites and over 150 below-grade and surface parking spaces.

As the Structural Engineer of Record, Structura played a key role in designing the structural systems for this important senior living community. Our scope included developing innovative solutions to support the facility’s specialized needs, including the integration of suites, communal spaces, and parking while maintaining structural integrity and meeting safety standards. Structura also addressed the challenges of below-grade construction to accommodate parking in a constrained site.
