Structura was proud to serve as the structural engineer of record for The Service Center, a new mixed-use residential building at in Baltimore’s Remington community. Developed by Seawall and designed in collaboration with JP2 Architects, the six-story structure includes two levels of concrete framing supporting four levels of wood construction. The ground floor is programmed for light industrial and commercial use, while the second floor features residential amenities and tenant office space. Upper floors house residential units, with select units featuring walk-out terraces. Our expertise was critical in addressing the site's sloping topography, incorporating strategic slab-on-grade steps, and designing essential structural elements such as egress stairs, elevator cores, and a loading dock platform lift.
