Structura was engaged to support the repair and restoration of the Fountain Square Garage, a five-story, 560K SF precast parking structure in Reston Town Center. This facility, designed to accommodate over 850 parking spaces, experienced a structural issue in February 2017 when heavy snowfall and improper snow stockpiling on the roof caused the failure of two precast double tees.

In response, Structura quickly coordinated the installation of emergency temporary shoring to stabilize the affected structural elements. Additionally, Structura developed performance-based external reinforcing designs and provided detailed drawings for contractor pricing. Serving as the owner’s representative, Structura managed the project’s bidding process and provided ongoing administrative construction services throughout the repair work, ensuring that the structural integrity of the garage was restored and that the repairs were completed efficiently and safely.
