Structura was pleased to collaborate with Waldon Studio Architects (WSA) on the third phase of the Bay Area Community Church’s master plan for their Annapolis, MD campus. This phase included significant additions and renovations to enhance the church’s facilities, with the creation of a new Student Center and Children’s Wing. Structura’s scope of work involved the design and construction of a 9K SF east-side addition, a 6,500+ SF west-side three-story expansion, and an 8K+ SF lobby extension, all built simultaneously.

The structural system for the new additions featured steel framing with deck-supported composite slabs, carefully designed to be structurally independent from prior phases. Conventional spread footings were used for the foundation, ensuring stability and durability. Structura’s expertise helped bring these dynamic new spaces to life, supporting the church’s mission to serve its growing congregation.
