Scope of work at National Geographic’s headquarters encompassed a wide range of tenant improvements, starting with a detailed survey of existing conditions, followed by the development of an efficient structural design for new dunnage and expansion of the mechanical equipment yard. The team collaborated with mechanical and architectural partners, prepared comprehensive construction documents, reviewed subcontractor bids, and provided ongoing construction administration support, including responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals throughout the construction phase.
Additional scope included concrete reinforcement for new mechanical duct openings, an expanded rooftop mechanical yard to accommodate new equipment, and framing for lightweight stone panels, plus structural steel framing for interior stadium seating, modifications to an existing masonry load-bearing wall, and slab alterations to meet updated mechanical and architectural requirements.
