Structura was pleased to provide structural engineering services for the renovation of the parking garage at 2 Hopkins Plaza in Baltimore, a 105K SF conventionally reinforced concrete structure that includes a loading dock, tunnel, and entrance ramp. The garage, which had been neglected for several years, was acquired and renovated by Berman Enterprises alongside the adjacent 21-story building. Over time, moisture ingress led to significant concrete deterioration, particularly along the elevated slabs.

Structura led the necessary repairs, which included the complete removal and replacement of 2,500 SF of concrete slab, extensive repairs to concrete joists and beams, and the installation of new supplemental steel brackets to support the plaza above the garage. The team also added a new traffic coating to both elevated garage levels, ensuring the structure’s integrity and functionality for years to come.
