As the Structural Engineer of Record, Structura played a key role in the design and construction of The Bradley, a 10-story residential building near the Braddock Road Metro station in Alexandria, VA. This boomerang-shaped structure maximizes its footprint on a compact 1-acre site, balancing density with efficient use of space in a high-demand urban area.

The project presented significant challenges, including stringent new utility requirements and the integration of a large stormwater management tank to serve both the building and surrounding area. Structura worked closely with Rust | Orling to develop structural solutions that seamlessly accommodated these elements. Additionally, Structura engineered a multi-level underground parking facility, maximizing capacity within the site’s constraints while ensuring accessibility for residents.

Completed nearly a decade ago, The Bradley has become a landmark that bridges Alexandria’s historic Old Town with the vibrant Del Ray neighborhood.
