Multi-Family Housing

As part of its commitment to being a good neighbor, Arlington-based Marymount University transformed a surface parking lot into an environmentally-friendly urban village known as the 26th Street Complex. The complex includes two new buildings: Caruthers Hall, a 52,000 SF academic building for the sciences and health sciences, and Rose Benté Lee Ostapenko Hall, a 77,000 SF residence hall. The Malek Plaza curves between the buildings and provides an outdoor gathering space.

Other amenities include underground parking and a pedestrian bridge over Yorktown Boulevard that connects the new facilities with the rest of Marymount’s Main Campus. This project received a Community Appearance Award for beautifying the neighborhood from the Community Appearance Alliance (CAA) of Northern Virginia.
