This project involves significant upgrades and renovations to an existing senior living apartment complex in Essex, MD, located off Route 40. The complex comprises four interconnected three-story buildings—A, B, C, and D wings—with a total area of approximately 130,000 square feet. Each building is framed with open web wood trusses on wood-bearing walls, clad in aluminum siding and brick veneer.
Structura’s scope of work centered on assessing and repairing multiple balconies, addressing deteriorated wood framing in perimeter walls, and performing bearing wall modifications to enhance structural integrity. Our expertise ensured safe, durable improvements, enhancing both functionality and longevity for the residents’ living environment.
