Structura is honored to have contributed to the renovation of the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Center (TSC) facility at Liberty Park in Vienna, VA, alongside the design and installation of a dedicated 9/11 Memorial. For the facility, Structura undertook critical retrofitting work on the existing structural steel building, reinforcing it to withstand “Air Blast Effects” and underpinning it to support upgraded backup power requirements, enhancing the resilience of this national security infrastructure.
Adjacent to the renovated facility, Structura helped bring to life a powerful 9/11 Memorial honoring the courage and sacrifice of the victims, survivors, responders, and families impacted by the events of September 11. Key artifacts from the World Trade Center site are featured in this memorial, including a 10-foot column from the North Tower, a rooftop antenna section, and the centerpiece—a 45-foot, 52,000-pound ‘trident’ from the North Tower, prominently positioned near the rear entrance.
Additionally, three restored 60-foot flagpoles from the WTC site were placed to cast shadows on symbolic memorial elements at the precise times of the attacks, adding a solemn, temporal element to the tribute. Together, these structural and commemorative efforts reflect Structura’s commitment to supporting critical facilities while honoring national history.
