Structura had the privilege of serving as the structural engineer of record for the DC Dream Center, a new three-story community facility located in Southeast Washington, DC. Partnering with National Community Church and Waldon Studio Architects, Structura helped transform an abandoned residential building into a vibrant space for community engagement.

The 10K SF building, which includes a partial basement, was designed to house a variety of spaces, including an indoor basketball court on the third floor, classrooms, a dance studio, a café, and a rooftop deck. Project scope involved retrofitting the existing structure to accommodate the new uses, ensuring the building's stability and safety while incorporating modern design elements. The result is a dynamic and welcoming community hub, offering a wide range of amenities that foster growth, connection, and well-being.
