Located at the water’s edge of the inner harbor, the Baltimore Visitors Center was renovated in 2016 to incorporate modern technology and design to better serve its 400K+ daily visitors, including a flexible layout to allow for hosting after hours events topped by a suspended artwork focal point. Structura was honored to collaborate with local artists McCormack and Figg on engineering the installation of their commissioned sculpture, “Seagrass”, with shapes echoing the nearby Chesapeake Bay's aquatic grasses highlighted by customized lighting and animation sequences to holiday colors and (of course) orange or purple for Orioles and Ravens events.
