Structura is pleased to give back to our communities through our Charity Match program. Every month, our team members propose charitable organizations, and we conduct a random drawing to determine the non-profit recipient of the month's donation.
In January, Structura donated to Surfrider, an amazing organization is committed to plastic reduction, ocean protection, beach access, climate and coastal awareness and clean water.
In February, we donated to the Combat Soldiers Recover Fund. This organization aids soldiers wounded in service of our nation. 100% of every donation goes directly to wounded soldiers recovering at military hospitals in the Washington, DC area.
Our March donation went to DC Central Kitchen (DCCK). DC Central Kitchen is an iconic nonprofit and social enterprise that combats hunger and poverty through job training and job creation. The organization provides hands-on culinary job training for individuals facing high barriers to employment while creating living wage jobs and bringing nutritious, dignified food where it is most needed. DCCK’s social ventures include serving scratch-cooked farm-to-school meals in DC schools, delivering fresh, affordable produce to corner stores in neighborhoods without supermarkets, and operating a fast-casual café.
For April, our donation has gone to to Habitat DC-NOVA’s Women Build Campaign. This year, Women Build is mobilizing women to build 11 permanent, homes for local women and their families. These homes, like all Habitat projects, will leverage homeownership as a catalyst to close the racial and gender wealth gaps of our city.
