Fountain Square Garage is a five-story precast parking garage in Reston Town Center encompassing 560K SF to accommodate 850+ parking spaces. In February 2017, the area experienced heavy snowfall and during the snow removal process, snow was stockpiled at the roof level of the garage. Consequently, this additional snow load caused the failure of two precast double tees.

Structura coordinated the installation of emergency temporary shoring to support the failed structural members and prepared performance-based external reinforcing drawings for contractor pricing. Serving as the owner’s representative, Structura facilitated the project bidding process and provided administrative construction services throughout repairs.
